Yes, Democrats won the House. The Senate is almost a win, but it remains to be seen throughout the day.
It is true that the Republicans desereved to lose. Must lose.
The Democrats, however, did not deserve to win.
Right now, they are the lesser of two evils; and I will take that any time.
Case in point: In the State of Rhode Island, Republican Lincoln Chafee was the only man who voted against the war in Iraq – hence voting against his own party at the time. In his recent re-election campaigns however, he insisted he was still representing his party, which meant the Republicans would still control the House and Senate, and which basically meant more of Bush and his neocons. Chafee lost. It is a referendum against the blundering, fear-mongering Republicans. They simply had to lose.
