the brotherhood wins… egypt loses yet again

Whether Shafeek or Morsi won, I would have been depressed either way. However still, with a Morsi win and watching how Egyptians are celebrating this as a ‘win for the revolution’ is to say the least more than depressing.
I should have been told some time that the revolution was about bringing Islamists to power because of the stupidity and mismanagement of of the ‘celebrity’ intellectuals – and I would not have participated in it from day one.
I was indifferent and impartial to who wins or loses until an hour ago because to me, either way it is a loss for Egypt. But to find people literally celebrating and saying the name of ‘Morsi, Morsi’ as a chant is a deviation from every revolutionary ideal that I stand for.
The Brotherhood and the Islamists have betrayed the revolution over and over and over – but still revolutionaries went and joined them as ‘saviors’ from old regime. How different are they really? and what sort of deal has been hatched between the Brotherhood and SCAF to get us to an MB win?
That remains to be seen.
